You will be offering a free gift to people like an ebook, report or video course to encourage them to give you their details so you can market your business to them. Once they have signed up they will automatically start to receive follow up emails that you have set up in your autoresponder back office.
These people are now part of your list and you will now want to be building a relationship with them by offering them great value in your emails. You can give them more free gifts and valuable information which will help them in their online business. They will then start to trust you and look at you as someone of authority who knows what they are talking about and they will then want to know more about you and your business. This is when you start making sales after you have earned a persons trust.
